PROF.P.RAMASAMY

Prof.P.Ramasamy is currently the Dean (Research) at SSN Institutions, Kalavakkam, Tamil Nadu.  Ealier, he was holding positions such as Vice-Chancellor, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Director, Crystal Growth Centre, Anna University, Chennai. He was a recipient of UNESCO Niels Bohr Gold medal, Homi Bhabha award of UGC, Hari Om Ashram award, apart from several other awards. 

Along with his student, he discovered Sankaranarayanan-Ramasamy (SR) method for Crystal Growth analysis.  The Indian Society for Crystal Growth has instituted “Prof.P.Ramasamy National Award for Crystal Growth” in honour of Prof.Ramasamy. He has guided over 65 research scholars for Ph.D, published more than 630 research papers and edited 15 Books (Conference Proceedings).  He is the author of 7 books.

Mr S. Thiagarajan is currently working as Registrar, Society for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS). SETS is a society formed due to the initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.  SETS specializes in research activities pertaining to cyber security. Earlier, he was with Electronics Corporation of India Ltd. (ECIL) for more than 30 years. In ECIL, he held various positions including that of General Manager for electronic warfare projects. The total value of these projects was Rs 3.50 billion. He also served as Zonal Manager for South India and was also responsible for business development activities for the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) sector.  He was an active member of Computer Society of India during 1980-1989. He has written many articles on computers and delivered many lectures in various organizations. He is a Fellow of IETE. He holds a M.Sc degree in Physics with specialization in Electronics from Madras Christian College. He also holds an M. Phil degree.
